Jason had a birthday this last weekend. We did a lot of fun stuff like I left him home to nag the older boys about their chores while I took Ben to his soccer game, picked up Michael's meds, and did a quick stop at Walmart.
Oh, wait, that wasn't the fun bit.
But after all that we loaded up the van with all the children to go to a Peace Festival downtown. When that turned out to be a bust (the festival, not peace as a concept), we drove over to Tumwater Falls to see the salmon. We were a bit early to see some good salmon action, but it was a lovely day for a walk in the park.
I'm not going to tell you how many pictures I had to take to get proof that he does smile, but let's just say thank goodness for digital cameras.
This one is also working on his resting teenager face these days, but sometimes I startle him into giving me an expression.
And Ben hates to smile in pictures as well, but Isaac is a persistent little guy and will squeeze a smile out of anyone!
Later Rachel took the middles to a soccer game and Jason and I left Isaac and Josh at home (we got Josh Avengers to watch to make up for it) to go see a horrible movie. Not on purpose of course. Regardless I hope Jason enjoyed his day. And take my advice, stay far, FAR away from Ad Astra. Two hours of our lives we can't get back.
