The rule this year was "last one up gets to open the first present".
The dream: we'd get to sleep in a lot longer.
The reality: Michael came knocking at 7am. Sent back to his room. Snuck out to wake up Ben. Swore he didn't wake up Isaac. Woke up Isaac. Called down to Josh.
And Christmas morning was up and running!
I did make them stop on the stairs for a picture. The excitement was palpable.
It was a sweet picture our boys on the stairs, but Isaac was squinting and Michael took it upon himself to help Isaac open his eyes more.
Then we let them loose and on they came!
They crowded around the tree until Jason spread them out so they could have space for the great unwrapping.
Before:
After:
Ben got a science kit and went straight to work on a chemistry experiment. His inner evil scientist came right out in the open at the kitchen table.
After a while, I managed to pull together brunch and we spent the rest of the day playing our fun new stuff.
Jason looks totally hot in his new pajamas.
Christmas brag: I killed everyone at Catan.
Michael finally got to watch Harry Potter 7 pt 2.
Josh downloaded some sort of software on my computer for his programming kit. Fingers crossed.
Ben created some sort of funky green scum in the water, but we're not sure that is what he was supposed to do.
Isaac was pretty excited with his toys and enjoyed trying to get into his brothers' stuff when they weren't looking.
Another Merry Miller Christmas.
